Erasmus+ Teaching Mobility at the University of Palermo

Petra Kozáková and Stanislav Tripes from the Faculty of Management participated in an Erasmus+ Teaching Mobility at University of Palermo. During the mobility, they took part for the fourth time in a course led by Arabella Mocciaro Li Destri for international students.

As part of the programme, they presented a comprehensive case study focused on the strategic decision-making of a small brewery, specifically on expanding its product portfolio from traditional lagers to top-fermented beers. The case study demonstrated that such strategic decisions affect not only the product itself, but also the entire organization, including production, marketing, finance, and stakeholder relationships.

During the classes, students worked with real-life data and addressed a go/no-go managerial dilemma involving the evaluation of investments, risks, and expected benefits. An important part of the teaching activities also included discussions on different approaches to strategic decision-making in an international environment.

The Faculty of Management representatives highly appreciated the opportunity to work with students from different countries and cultural backgrounds, whose diverse perspectives contributed to inspiring discussions and valuable outcomes throughout the course.

The Faculty of Management greatly values its long-term cooperation with Arabella Mocciaro Li Destri and the University of Palermo, which contributes to the development of international cooperation, the sharing of experience, and the strengthening of practice-oriented teaching.
