2026-2027 Swati Gupta (RA)
In September 2026, the Faculty of Management welcomed Swati Gupta, a graduate of the MSc programme in International Human Resource and Performance Management at SKEMA Business School in France. She will be affiliated with the Faculty as a Research Associate until April 2027.
Her research interests include human resource management, employee mental health and well-being, gender, and organisational culture. She is particularly interested in how workplace environments and HR policies shape employees’ everyday experiences, as well as differences in human resource management across cultural and institutional settings.
Her master’s thesis focused on women’s mental health in the workplace. Through qualitative interviews with women working in different sectors, she explored work-related stress, the balance between professional and personal roles, stigma surrounding mental health difficulties, and the availability of employer support. She also examined gaps between stated HR policies and their implementation in practice. Alongside her research experience, she brings professional experience in HR and project work on employee compensation and organisational change.
During her affiliation, Swati Gupta will focus primarily on:
- developing joint research topics with Faculty members in human resource management and workplace research,
- designing and conducting empirical studies using qualitative methods,
- preparing manuscripts for international peer-reviewed journals,
- contributing to joint research and funding proposals,
- participating in research seminars, methodological discussions, and other scholarly activities at the Faculty.
Her affiliation will provide opportunities for joint publications and projects while supporting her further development as a researcher in an international academic environment.
