BIP NextGen Brewing

From March 23–27, the Faculty of Management hosted participants of an international teaching program focused on the future of the brewing industry.

The innovative format of the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) enables students to work intensively on a practically oriented case study within a single week. This year’s BIP, prepared in cooperation with František Linduška and Lucie Šitrová from Budějovický Budvar, National Brewery, focused on current trends in the brewing industry, particularly in the area of talent identification and development.

Students worked in international teams, developing skills in critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and innovation while addressing real-world challenges.

The program was attended by 38 international students and 6 students from the Faculty of Management, Prague University of Economics and Business. Participants came from a range of countries, including the USA, Canada, Finland, Sweden, Austria, Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland, and Slovakia. The teaching team also included 7 international lecturers from Poland, Slovakia, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Pakistan (including two PhD students from the Faculty of Management), contributing both academic and professional perspectives.

The program also included an excursion and expert sessions at Budějovický Budvar. The overall organization of the program was coordinated by Martina Chalupová.
