The Faculty of Management hosted the 18th workshop Routines.Research.Community

The 18th workshop of the Routines.Research.Community (RRC) was held on September 25 and 26, 2025 at the Faculty of Management of the Prague University of Economics and Business. The workshop focused on the relationship between organizational routines and digital solutions and was a platform for connecting researchers with practitioners.

The program included expert inputs and guided discussions on the dynamics of organizational routines in the information systems environment. Professor Brian T. Pentland presented a “path-centric” approach to change through blended routines (the concept of “paths”). This perspective was followed by representatives of practice and academia, who discussed the implications for the design and operation of digital solutions. “The goal of the workshop was to create a compact space for the exchange of knowledge between researchers and practitioners and to focus on how digital solutions influence the emergence, development and repeated creation of organizational routines,” said the main organizer Věra Králová from the Faculty of Management.

Routines.Research.Community is an international professional network focused on research into the dynamics of organizational routines. The community organizes smaller thematic workshops hosted by universities in Europe; in recent years, for example, events have taken place at the Johannes Kepler Universität in Linz (September 2022) or at the University School of Business in Helsinki (March 2019).
