Accreditation Board

The Accreditation Board of the Faculty of Management is a key advisory body established in accordance with the Rules of the Quality Assurance System for Educational, Creative and Related Activities and Internal Quality Assessment of Educational, Creative and Related Activities of the Prague University of Economics and Business, which plays a fundamental role in ensuring and improving the quality of study programs, subjects and the educational strategy of the faculty. The Board actively contributes to the development of study plans and programs so that they correspond to the long-term strategy and goals of the faculty, while also monitoring compliance with actual labor market requirements. Through careful evaluation of study results, feedback from students and analysis of labor market needs, the Accreditation Board supports excellence in education and the readiness of graduates for their future careers. Its activities and decisions have a direct impact on the quality and content of education at the Faculty of Management, thus ensuring that study programs are not only up-to-date and relevant, but also that they contribute to the professional and personal development of students.

The chairman of the Accreditation Board is the Vice-Dean for Studies, other members are the heads of all academic departments, the student vice-chairman of the Academic Senate of the faculty, the guarantors of the fields in bachelor’s and follow-up master’s studies, and the Quality Assurance Manager.

Accreditation Board

  1. discusses a proposal to grant, change or withdraw accreditation of a bachelor’s or master’s degree program before submitting it to the faculty’s scientific board.

  2. discusses a proposal to grant, change or withdraw accreditation of a minor specialization provided by the faculty.

  3. discusses the proposal of the head of the department for granting, significant change or withdrawal of accreditation of a subject of a bachelor’s and master’s degree program guaranteed by a faculty department; may recommend withdrawal of accreditation of a subject even without a proposal from the head of the department.

  4. as part of the discussion of regular evaluation reports, it evaluates bachelor’s and master’s degree programs implemented by the faculty in terms of their relevance in relation to the requirements of practice, the experience of alumni and student suggestions, continuously evaluates the strengths and weaknesses of the degree programs with regard to external opportunities and threats and proposes corrective measures.

  5. approves regular evaluation reports of guarantors of bachelor’s and master’s degree programs.

  6. discusses a regular evaluation report on the employment of alumni, prepared at the university level.
