AI Catalyst for SMEs: Bridging the Gap Between Small Businesses and Artificial Intelligence

The AI Catalyst for SMEs project continues its mission to provide a helping hand to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) seeking to integrate artificial intelligence and automate their core processes. For companies that are currently navigating these technological shifts without prior experience, the project serves as a vital guide through the complexities of digital transformation.

In recent weeks, the project organized two AI Open Days, designed to demonstrate the practical applications of AI across different sectors.

Educational Synergy and Generative AI in Practice

The first event was held in collaboration with the SOŠ and SOU Kaplice vocational school. In addition to providing consultations for business representatives, the program featured a specialized workshop for students led by Stanislav Tripes and Petra Kozáková. The session aimed to redefine the students’ perspective on generative artificial intelligence, showing that it is far more than just an “advanced search engine.” Instead, it can serve as a highly effective partner in the learning process and academic development.

Innovation in Traditional Industries: AI for Small Breweries

The second AI Open Day, led by Stanislav Tripes, was specifically tailored for representatives of small breweries. The discussions focused on both traditional and unconventional areas where artificial intelligence can be deployed to increase efficiency. From production optimization to innovative marketing strategies, the event highlighted how AI can support and enhance even traditional craft-based industries.

Starting from scratch in the field of AI can be a daunting task for many SMEs. The AI Catalyst for SMEs project is dedicated to showing these businesses the way forward. By outlining not only the advantages and potential challenges but also providing a clear roadmap for implementation, the project helps ensure that companies can successfully manage their transition to more automated systems.

These events were co-funded by the European Union as part of the AI CATALYST for SMEs project, reg. no. ATCZ00036.
