The 8th Innovation Week Once Again Connected Theory with Practice

The 8th Innovation Week took place in a compact two-day format on Tuesday, 7 April, and Wednesday, 8 April 2026. This traditional event, during which regular classes are replaced by lectures and workshops led by industry professionals, once again offered not only students but also other participants the opportunity to gain insight into the real functioning of companies and organizations.

The Innovation Week programme consisted of a series of thematically diverse lectures and interactive workshops led by representatives of the faculty’s partner organizations. Students had the opportunity to explore current trends in the fields of management, marketing, finance, technology, and personal development. The focus was placed not only on sharing knowledge, but also on presenting practical experience and real-life business cases. Among the speakers were also graduates of the Faculty of Management, who returned to share their professional and personal experiences.

A distinctive feature of this year’s edition was the strong involvement of Faculty of Management students, who played a major role in organizing the entire event. They participated both in preparing the programme and in delivering individual activities. Innovation Week thus became not only a platform for gaining new knowledge, but also an opportunity to develop organizational and teamwork skills.

“Innovation Week has long represented one of the key formats through which we provide students with direct contact with practice. This year, we are also pleased by the strong involvement of students in its organization, which demonstrates their ability to take responsibility and actively contribute to the life of the faculty,” said the Dean of the Faculty of Management of the Prague University of Economics and Business, doc. Ing. Bc. Mojmír Sabolovič, Ph.D.

Thanks to the wide range of topics, participants were able to choose activities corresponding to their field of study as well as their personal interests. A number of lectures and workshops were intended not only for students and staff, but also for alumni, secondary school students, and the general public. Innovation Week once again became a bridge between the academic environment and the real world of business.

By organizing this event, the Faculty of Management continues to fulfil its long-term mission of connecting theoretical education with practical experience and supporting students in developing competencies that are essential in today’s labour market.
