Health Policy and Economics: Accessible, High-Performing, Equitable, and Outcome-Oriented Healthcare

The Institute of Health Services Management (IHSM) is dedicated to exploring theoretical and empirical relationships that help explain how tools such as financing mechanisms, organisational models, regulatory frameworks, marketing strategies, innovative technologies, and management practices affect healthcare performance and outcomes. These outcomes include health status, financial protection, patient satisfaction, quality, efficiency, and accessibility, both at the level of individual healthcare providers and at the systemic level. While the primary focus is on the Czech and Slovak healthcare systems, the research also draws comparative insights from Central and Eastern Europe and other EU countries.
