Strategy and Education in the Craft Brewing Sector

This research group investigates the craft brewing industry in the Czech Republic, with a focus on financial performance, strategic positioning, and the communication of competitive advantage. Drawing on an extensive database covering more than 500 breweries, the team conducts multidisciplinary analyses to uncover key success factors and to provide valuable insights into the economics and dynamics of the brewing sector.

The research is of critical importance for sustaining and developing beer culture as both a vital part of national heritage and a contributor to economic vitality. It aims to generate practical benefits for the craft brewing community by informing strategy and supporting sectoral resilience.

Through our studies and publications, we seek to strengthen the industry, enhance its ability to withstand market fluctuations, and support its adaptability to changing consumer preferences – factors that are essential for preserving the rich heritage embodied by Czech beer.
